Driver Killed In Car Accident Involving A Tow Truck
May 23. 2011 13:31 by

One person was killed and another was injured when the car they were in collided with a tow truck on Highway 360 in Arlington. At the time of the accident, the tow truck was in the southbound lanes of Highway 360 assisting another car with a flat tire.  The car, which was reported to be driving at a high rate of speed, crashed into the rear of the tow truck. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and the passenger was transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center by helicopter.   No other injuries were reported.

There are very specific regulations as to the appropriate warnings that must be provided to oncoming traffic when a tow truck is operating within the lanes of traffic.  Failure to follow those regulations can create dangerous conditions that can lead to accidents, such as the one described above.  The attorneys at WTL previously handled a similar case, where we argued that the tow truck driver failed to properly warn oncoming vehicles, including a young couple killed in the car accident.  If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident, can the car accident attorneys at Wilson Trosclair & Lovins in Dallas and Austin today.  Call us at 214-484-1930.
