Irving, Texas Hit And Run Car Accident Leaves Two Pedestrians in Critical Condition
October 3. 2011 10:47 by
Alberta Sago, 57 and her 7 year old granddaughter, Tinniyah Miles, were struck by a speeding car this past Sunday as they exited a salon and attempted to get into their car. Witnesses say that the hit and run suspect was traveling east on Grauwyler when he drove into the opposite lane of traffic then lost control of his car while attempting to avoid a collision. The driver then drove onto a sidewalk striking the victims, throwing 7 year old Tinniyah high into the air and dragging Ms. Sago about 50 feet. A witness to the hit and run followed the driver as he fled but stopped when the driver abandoned the car and threatened the witness. Both victims of the
hit and run accident remain in critical condition at local hospitals. Police have the car involved in the accident and hope that it will provide clues as to the identity of the driver.
There is never an excuse for a driver to leave the scene of a
car accident, especially when
pedestrians are involved. In cases like these, police officers need the help of all citizens, and once the fleeing driver is found, he needs to be held criminally and civilly liable. If you have been the victim of a hit and run driver, call the

Irving Police Seek Assistance In Fatal Hit And Run Car Accident

Irving police are looking for a late model Dodge Challenger, like the one pictured below, in its ongoing investigation of a fatal hit and run this past Sunday. Mr. Franciso Reyes was killed after being struck from behind by a Challenger while walking on the service road for Highway 183 in
Irving, Texas. The driver of the car that struck him failed to stop and render aid, leaving Mr. Reyes on the road with severe, and ultimately fatal, injuries. Police do not have a license plate, and identifying the type of the car was based entirely on debris at the scene of the fatal pedestrian car wreck. The car at issue will likely have damage to the front driver side of the car if it is not yet repaired. If you have any information that may be helpful to the investigation of this fatal hit and run
car accident, please call 972-273-1010.
